接近完成式 - Not a tense marker in Chinese
- le is not marking past tense - Exp: 我吃過飯了 Wǒ chīguò fànle - I already ate
- le is an aspect marker presenting a viewpoint of an event in its entirety - Exp: 這本書我已經看過了 Zhè běnshū wǒ yǐjīng kànguòle - I have read this book
- Used in a series of bounded events - Exp: 我出去了 Wǒ chūqùle - I'm going out
